My Easter Favorites for Children's Solos/Choirs

If you are on the hunt for an Easter song for your congregation or children's choir, here are some of my favorites.

"He Lives Again" is our brand-new Easter song and maybe the most adorable one I've ever heard. It invites all to join heaven and nature in singing the glories of Christ's resurrection. We love the strong imagery, catchy chorus, and bold bridge. All of those elements combine with a Celtic-inspired lilt to create a beautiful kind of magic. We would love to know what you think about it this one. <3

"Risen for Me" is another song that focuses on seeing Christ in Creation. All things truly denote there is a God, and I love looking for symbols of God's glorious gift of life again. Assurances of life again are all around us, from "sunrises" and "new beginnings" to the "promise of the fading of the moon that the dawn in coming soon." This song will forever be one of my favorites.

"Always Remember" was written for my daughter's baptism, but I love that so many choose to sing it for Easter. When we are baptized in my church, we make a promise to always remember Jesus. This promise is renewed each week when we take the sacrament. I might be a bit dull, but a few years ago, it struck me that just as we promise to always remember Him, he will truly never forget each one of us. Just He knows the tiny sparrows, He knows each one of us. Our names are graven on His hands, and His arms are filled with mercy.
