Ready to Rise - behind the scenes: the making of the music video

When Josh was busy filming the music video "Ready to Rise," our friend Tony Naeata was busy capturing the morning from other angles. He graciously compiled his footage and sent us a "behind the scenes: the making of the music video" version to share with anyone wanting an inside look at this incredible shoot.

The screenshot above is my absolute favorite shot (although the shots of James and Chelsea's son, Christian had me rolling!) It shows James on "Josh duty" (we filmed on the edge of a cliff, so he made sure Josh didn't fall/trip off of it!), Joelle in the front keeping the beat for the kids, Chelsea directing the emotion, and me on the ledge snapping a picture of the youth in front of the beautiful sunrise and yelling things to keep them pumped (not pictured is the mega-phone I was holding most of the morning.) It was–quite literally–a picture-perfect morning, and I will forever treasure this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Thank you, Tony, for your time, talent, and generosity. I met Tony and his incredible wife, Vanessa, last October at the LDSPMA Awards Gala, and it has been so great to get to know them better. You can spy their little cutie in the original video at 2:39.
